The meaning of "janai is cotton" and "purnima means the full moon".  On this, day hindu men,especially  the brahmins and chhetri will celebrate.Janai is regarded as the symbol of body. The festival is about sacred thread.

 At last,i want to say that this festival is essential religious value among the maternal uncles,nephews,married and unmarried. it is also one of the important and popular festival in every world
