My experience in tihar

INTRODUCTION

Tihar is the most celebrated festival after Dashain in Nepal. It is a five-day festival celebrated in late autumn. It has its unique ways of celebration.

First Day - kag tihar 

On the first day of  tihar  crows are worshipped in the morning me and my mother leave different food items outside for crow's to eat.

Second Day-Kukur tihar

The second day of tihar is  kukur tihar.I have put tika to the small dog of  Relatives with the flower and garland.

Third Day- Gai puja and laxmi puja

The third day of tihar is gai Puja or laxmi Puja. I went  ganesthan to worship cow in the morning. I worship with garland, flower, with tika and giving sel roti.  And we started to play  bhaili in 6:00o'clock.

Fourth Day- goru or govardan puja

On the fourth day, 3 different kinds of puja performed and me and my family perform a govardan puja by the help of cow dung.mainly, the newari culture celebrate this puja. In this day we start deusi in 6:00o'clock.

Fifth day- Bhai tika or bhai duj 

On the fifth day  of tihar we celebrate that is Bhai tika.and it is a last day of tihar. In this ,day I put tika to the  brother .I put tika to the brothers. And at last I play bhaili with my mother.

Janai Purnima

                                                 JANAI PURNIMA  janai purnima is observed in the month of shrawn but in,this year its observed in the month of bhadra. As we know that it is also called the raksha bandhan. this festival is observed by the hindus all over the world. The meaning of "janai is cotton" and "purnima means the full moon".  On this, day hindu men,especially  the brahmins and chhetri will celebrate.Janai is regarded as the symbol of body. The festival is about sacred thread.
